The spagyric method was publicized, or at least given this name, by Paracelsus in the 16th century. The word “Spagyric” is formed from two Greek syllables “spao” and “ageiro”, which mean “dividing” and “uniting”, and it is these two processes that are the key to spagyric preparations. The selected healing plant is broken down into three components- alcoholic extract, distillate (essential oil) and calcinate (minerals). These three active ingredient components are then recombined to form the healing preparation or spagyric, which contains a balanced ratio of the organic and inorganic components of the medicinal plant in a highly concentrated form. With the increasing realization that allopathic medicine can produce undesirable side effects and that an exclusively symptom-oriented approach to therapy might not be ideal, the interest by both doctors and patients in traditional plant-based preparations has grown considerably in Germany in the last 30 years. Spagyrics are now firmly established in the German homeopathic pharmacopoeia alongside homeopathic preparations. The number of studies and papers on spagyrics to have been published in the last few years and the reprints of classic works are indications of the growing interest in this form of medicine by researchers, teachers and practicing physicians.
Paracelsus is the founder & reintroduced ancient Alchemy into the Europe and named it Spagyric, better known as modern chemist
Spagyric therapy roots can be linked to beginning of the mankind, thousands of years back to the ancient saints to Hippocrates. Spagyric has been noticeable or became popular over 500 years ago when Paracelsus brought or let say reinvented Spagyric in Europe and kept the foundation stone for today's modern chemistry but unfortunately his work, has been lost over 400 years ago. He can be regarded as the grandfather of today’s pharmacy.
Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), a 19th century German physician and chemist, developed homeopathy, a form of medicine that uses minute doses of herbs and other substances to promote healing.
Count Cesare Mattei rediscovered the lost Spagyric after Paracelsus and founded medical system as Electro-Homeopathy based on Spagyric of Paracelsus
Nature played its role again, in the 19 century Count Mattei reinvented the spagyric art which had been lost during Paracelsus's time. He made his new medical system based on spagyric principle using law of nature but did not complete it by giving much information but had given enough clues to understand the law of Nature and its cure.
Theodore Krauss is a true follower of Count Mattei and resumed the Mattei system after the death of Mattei and expanded the system in a more scientific way. Krauss is the only follower of Mattei who continued taking forward Mattei’s electro-homeopathy system laid down by Count Cesare Mattei
EH was further developed by Dr Satya Paul, renowned homeopath and author of medical books, who expanded and advanced the system in a very scientific way, also founded the Law of Principles Similia, Complexes, Curantur, based on previous founders.
He launched WEHO UK in 1996 on the 100th Death Anniversary of Count Cesare Mattei
